Contact tracer Call Handler

Do you have a few hours to help North Somerset in its ongoing fight against coronavirus?

We are looking for experienced call handlers to work with our Public Health’s Contact Tracing Team.

The role would ideally suit someone who is confident and calm whilst speaking to people over the phone. You may have prior experience in a contact centre or a public facing role, but training will be given.  Before you start, you will have full and thorough training on current public health advice, how to advise people with sometimes complex circumstances and safeguarding matters.  You will also have daily support of Team Leaders and Managers.  

You will be working irregular shifts between Monday to Sunday, between 10am and 7pm. The number of hours and times are dependent on case rates.

You will be comfortable with handling difficult calls in a sensitive and professional manner and know when to escalate cases to senior colleagues.
