Health Improvement Co-ordinator - Health Inequalities/Wider Determinants

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to tackle the challenges of health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of people living in Hertfordshire.

As part of the Public Health team, you will work in partnership with a range of local and national organisations such as Highways, Environmental Health, and the Active Partnership to make a significant contribution to the health and quality of life of Hertfordshire’s residents.  You will work towards the Healthy Places agenda, contributing to spatial planning as well as health related issues to environment and infrastructure to address the wider determinants of health.

We’re looking for someone with a knowledge of the principles and practice of public health, ideally around placed based approaches, who is passionate about reducing health inequalities and improving wellbeing through influencing local plans and planning applications, air quality, active travel, sustainability, and access to green space.
