Ensuring children get the best start in life and improving outcomes for children and families is a key priority in Bedfordshire and as such Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire Local Authorities have invested additional funding into the 0-19 service to ensure the needs of the community continue to be identified and addressed.
We are expanding our team and looking for practitioners who want to be part of our drive to improve the health outcomes for the children, young people and their families who live in this community. We work in partnership with families, making co-production a top priority.
Our innovative health visiting teams need both full time and part time Specialist Community Public Health Nurses – Health Visiting. If you have this qualification and you are passionate about making a real difference to these families then we would like to meet you.
We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified Health Visitors and are able to offer:
an excellent, robust induction programme
a first class preceptorship and buddy system
personal development support
You will join highly skilled professionals who are constantly adapting and developing, making the most of the skill mix in their teams to support these families. We are introducing new practices and digital initiatives to make sure children and young people receive the best care we can give.
Building strong working partnerships with our internal and external stakeholders, we are delivering the Healthy Child Programme to give every child the best start in life. You will be working to help these children grow up to be happy, safe, healthy, confident and resilient.
In addition, our Trust is rated “outstanding” by the CQC and the best NHS provider in England for having a healthy culture supporting staff to ‘Speak Up’.
Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust was rated as one of the best performing trusts in eight out of the 10 trends in the NHS National Survey. Staff also rated it as one of the best places to work and above average when it came to being happy with the standard of care the Trust provides.
This is what families say about our service:
