Lead Nurse Health Protection Public Health Protection Unit

Job description

An exciting opportunity for a new Lead Nurse post has been identified within the Public Health Directorate in NHSGGC. This new post will combine advanced practice skills with responsibility for operational and professional management of the nurses in the health protection unit. Operating as a senior member of the Health Protection Team, the postholder will play a lead in the ongoing response to pandemic as well as developing the Health Protection Service in line with national guidance and wider community health protection priorities. The postholder will be experienced in team management and be able to demonstrate multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working to improve practice across healthcare boundaries. The successful candidate will be Nursing and Midwifery Council Registered and have a relevant post graduate course to Masters degree level in infection control, public health or related subject.
