The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) is a Charity and Company Limited by guarantee and is the representative body for Directors of Public Health (DPH) in the UK.
It seeks to improve and protect the health of the population through collating and presenting the views of DsPH; advising on public health policy and legislation at a local, regional, national and international level; facilitating a support network for DsPH; and providing opportunities for DsPH to develop professional practice.
The Association has a rich heritage, its origins dating back more than 160 years. It is a collaborative organisation working in partnership with others to maximise the voice for public health.
Following an internal promotion we are now looking to employ to the full-time permanent position as Project Coordinator within the team to ensure delivery of its work programmes.
Having responsibility for collating and distribution of regular newsletters and updating the website content, minuting meetings and following up on actions, you will be in regular contact with our membership and key stakeholders, gaining a range of experiences across all aspects of public health in the UK.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate ADPH events, including when necessary the use of technology to facilitate remote access to meeting and workshops, maintain membership and activity records, run our DsPH mentoring scheme and coordinate communications with members and stakeholders in conjunction with our Communications Manager.
Candidates must be comfortable working independently in an administrative role and have experience of project and event administration, and you will be encouraged to grow and develop professionally in your new role by our supportive experienced, and friendly team.
The Association does operate a hybrid working arrangement with its staff and candidates from outside London are welcome, but they will be required to attend meetings and events in central London during the year. Further details can be confirmed prior to application if required.
Please apply in writing with a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role and a current CV.
The closing date is 14/08/22. However, we do reserve the right to close the application process early should a suitable candidate be available and would therefore urge those interested to apply asap.
