An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a busy team delivering procurement and commissioning services at West Berkshire Council.
You will be leading on the category management of Public Health and Wellbeing Services in West Berkshire, working closely with Communities and Wellbeing colleagues to purchase quality, best value services across the whole range of public health, leisure and community programmes.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of three years’ experience of working in a procurement or commissioning role. You may also have some knowledge or background in public health or social care. You will have excellent negotiation skills and be able to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders across the district to identify commercially sound proposals, and manage tender processes against a portfolio of contracts.
You will take a proactive approach to deliver a commercial approach to service delivery. All tendering activity will be compliant with The Public Contracts Regulations (2015) and the West Berkshire Council constitution.
