Public Health Intelligence Analyst

Job description

The Public Health team within East Riding Council have a secondment opportunity for a Public Health Intelligence Analyst. This role will support the wider team in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and play a key role providing intelligence to the East Riding of Yorkshire Outbreak Management Cell. The successful applicant will provide input into the process of understanding health needs in the area, addressing health inequalities, determining priorities for action. Supporting the production and development of a number of Covid19 statistical/ information services, the successful candidate will assist in providing specialised advice on epidemiology, health intelligence, statistics and statistical techniques, health data sets, research, survey design and questionnaire design. The successful candidate will also help develop projects including Health Needs Assessments, Health Impact Assessments and JSNA investigation. Applicants must hold a degree or equivalent experience in health science related area and have knowledge of epidemiology, statistics and information analysis related to health and wellbeing.
