Public Health Lead (Health Improvement)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire County Councils ‘Highly Commended’ (MJ Awards, 2021) Public Health department, to support the work of the expanding Health Improvement Team.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate specialist public health knowledge and expertise across a range of health improvement themes. They will be confident in developing and using key public health tools such as health needs assessments and health equity audits and have experience of allocating significant resources to improve population health outcomes.

They also need to be passionate about reducing health inequalities and be experienced in partnership working to achieve shared goals. Providing strategic leadership across a defined locality in Derbyshire in also a key function of this role.

The Public Health Lead will work closely with the Assistant Director of Public Health and colleagues across the Health Improvement Team.
