Public Health Programme Manager

Job description

We are looking to appoint 3 enthusiastic Public Health Programme Managers to support the newly formed Public Health Directorate, Test, Trace and Engagement Service. Developing progressive programmes and  plans with strong ambitions for improving population health and health protection functions.



The successful candidate(s) will provide expertise and leadership on the development, and delivery of a programme of multiple projects, with a strong focus of development and delivery of population health programmes of delivery, working across a wide range of statutory and non-statutory agencies and community and voluntary organisations.    



This role will include supporting the development of an evidence based and effective Health and Wellbeing Strategy for the borough; and supporting the wider health/social care integration agenda working closely with partners, elected members and local people.


About You:



As a highly motivated Project Manager, you will be committed to programme leadership within the directorate and across Bolton. You will be able to use your communication skills to negotiate with, and influence others at all levels.



You will be able to design, develop, interpret and influence programmes of activity and manage project resources well. You will use your high level understanding of project management to inform your decisions and guide you in your commitment to public health principles.



You’ll be self motivated and innovative whilst also working well within a team and leading by example.



You will have Degree level qualification in a relevant subject (i.e. Masters in Public Health) or relevant experience in a relevant field.
