Senior Manager - Health and Well-being (Policy and Programmes)

o you want to play a key role in helping lead the Mayor of London’s Health and Wellbeing agenda?

We currently have a fixed term opportunity for a Senior Manager for our Policy and Programmes work programme.

The successful candidate will provide high-level professional advice and work closely with the Mayor’s Health Advisors to lead a portfolio of policy development and projects, including work to support the physical and mental health and wellbeing of Londoners as we emerge from the pandemic. This includes playing a key role in delivering the Mayor’s Covid-19 recovery missions relating to health and wellbeing.

The post-holder will be required to have a detailed knowledge and understanding of key health policy areas as well as knowledge and experience of working at a senior level in the delivery of complex programmes in health, health inequalities or the health and care system. Senior procurement and programme development expertise, including the ability to develop and procure outcome-based programmes, will also be required.


This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL), although at present GLA staff are working largely from home.  Over the coming weeks and months, we will moving to hybrid working, linked to our relocation programme. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
