We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well motivated professional to join our Public Health Team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg working across the three counties of Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf. Your role, as Senior Public Health Practitioner, will be to contribute to the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of partnership programmes and initiatives to promote health and well-being across all sectors and in line with agreed local and national priorities.
The successful candidate will support the implementation and delivery of public health programmes in a range of different settings and with identified target groups in line with key local priorities.
Our Health and Well-Being Directorate and our World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Investment in Health and Well-being (WHOCC) Directorates will soon be working as one. The combining of these two directorates is our next phase as an organisation to ensure that we are best designed to meet the population health needs in Wales by bringing together the skills and staff in these directorates into one powerful population health directorate. This does mean there will be changes to our team structures and we are advising candidates that some roles may be subject to change in the coming 12 months. Changes for staff could include a change in line manager; variations to job descriptions or changes to roles and responsibilities. If changes are required, these will be discussed fully with those affected, in accordance with our Organisational Change Policy.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
