Stop Smoking Service Administrator

Job description

The Health and Lifestyle Research Unit (HAL) is a leading research group focusing on tobacco dependence and its treatments and on weight management interventions. The Research Unit, based in Stepney Green, is already providing a stop smoking service to Tower Hamlets, and Newham.  They have now been commissioned by the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Waltham Forest has expanded its stop smoking service provision to include hard to reach groups. Our boroughs combined have over 100,000 adult smokers, with very high smoking prevalence compared to the rest of London and the UK.

The Unit wishes to recruit a Stop Smoking Administrator to provide the day-to-day administrative support to the team to deliver our services.

The post holder will join a team of comprising Researchers, Stop Smoking Advisors, Clinicians and support staff.

The post is full time and available for 36 months in the first instance.

Starting salary will be £28,208 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
