Working within NHS Highlands Public Health Department, this Bank post will support the Public Health team to provide additional capacity to deliver national and locally identified health priorities.
The priority for this post will involve developing and delivering stop smoking services. Excellent communication and partnership skills are needed to build partnerships and develop seamless client pathways to smoking cessation.
Experience of working within the NHS with a background in delivering support to clients around behaviour change and in particular smoking cessastion is advantageous.
The post holder may pick up a variety of roles such as: work within the community - raising the profile of the service, delivering high quality of care in line with local and national policy for patients.
The post holder will use behaviour change techniques within smoking cessation to deliver the Quit Your Way Stop Smoking service and may also undertake health improvement project work across NHS Highland Board area .
The post holder must be trained to SVQ level 4 in health or social care or equivalent and have undertaken the NCSCT specialist advisor training or be willing to attend this course.
This is a Bank post covering the NHS Highland Board area. Post holder(s) have some flexibility regarding working hours.
Training and support will be provided.
