WVCA is a key voluntary organisation in Wolverhampton. We make a positive difference by working with local organisations and people to cultivate a thriving and inclusive city.
As the city’s infrastructure organisation we support the wider voluntary and community sector to be the best it can be: providing support, information, and training to other VCO;, ensuring that our sector has a powerful voice locally and beyond; and supporting volunteering in the city. We run Wolverhampton’s Social Prescribing Service and SUIT (a service supporting people recovering from addictions to drugs and alcohol); and oversee several partnership-based projects, distributing funds to groups and organisations, including social enterprises. We have also recently established Wolverhampton’s first community lottery.
As a result of the impending retirement of the current postholder Wolverhampton Voluntary and Community Action (WVCA) are seeking a Chief Executive.
