Dental Epidemiology Contractor (Dentist)

1-2 days per week by arrangement; pay on a sessional basis
£275 per day + mileage rate 45p per mile
 
To undertake Oral Health Surveys for adults and children in:
Leicestershire
Oxfordshire
Northamptonshire
You must be GDC registered, an active NHS performer number would be desirable but not essential  

Main duties of the job

 
Applications are invited from enthusiastic dentists for this post covering epidemiology surveys across various CDS geographies including Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
You will need to have an interest in public health and/or previous experience within epidemiology. The role will be to undertake the Oral Health Surveys for adults and children. These national surveys monitor the oral health of our local populations and are co-ordinated by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities. Training will be provided on the National protocol and clinical criteria as part of the calibration process in the East of England and East Midlands
The 2023/2024 survey involves children aged five years old and who are examined at their primary/infant school during term time.
