An opportunity exists for a highly motivated person to manage the Environmental Health team within the Council’s Environmental Health & Trading Standards Service. The Environmental Health functions are wide ranging and include public health, housing standards, air quality, food safety, workplace safety, pollution control, infectious disease control and licensing. These functions are delivered in specialist teams, with senior officers and professional staff delivering a high quality service to members of the public and the business community within West Lothian. The post holder will support the Environmental Health & Trading Standards Manager in the effective management of the service and ensure that there is a corporate approach to service provision in the interests of delivering best value to service users.
