As a member of our Environmental Health directorate, you will have the scope to protect employees and public through the investigation of accidents, incidents and complaints, inspections, advice and enforcement of health and safety legislation. The role is for a fixed term of 6 months focusing on the inspection of Special Treatment Premises such as beauty and massage treatments, nail bars, as well as laser treatments and tattooists. You will also have a case load of accident and complaint investigations and carry out intelligence led inspections, taking relevant enforcement action where necessary.

About You:
To excel in our fast-paced team, you will have a degree / diploma in Environmental Health or a specific level 6 Health & Safety qualification. With the capacity to inspect high risk premises for health and safety, you will have experience of examining management systems, risk assessments and serving notices. You will have a background in dealing with licensing inspections of special treatments and health and safety investigations and inspections. You will have the capacity to interpret legislation and translate this knowledge for a wide range of audiences. You will also have good written and verbal communication skills, and you will be capable of taking detailed notes when conducting your investigations and assessments.
