Funded by the Tayside Health Fund, NHS Tayside, in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport are seeking to appoint a Get Out Get Active (GOGA) Tayside Project Manager to support individuals, living with and without disabilities, to be active together.
The post holder will work in partnership NHS Tayside colleagues and other external local partners to create enhanced awareness and access to localised physical activity provision, bringing added value to the Tayside physical activity landscape.
Applicants should be educated to degree level, or have equivalent experience in Health Promotion/Improvement, Public Health, or evidence of significant experience and achievements with the physical activity sector. Excellent communication and influencing skills combined with knowledge of physical activity are essential for this post.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate proven experience of working in partnership with multiple agencies, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes and projects. Duties will include, but not limited to, project management, community engagement, physical activity programme design and delivery, management responsibility of staff, in line with NHS Tayside’s physical activity agenda.
This post is fixed term for 23 months based at Kings Cross Hospital in Dundee. Secondment will be considered with agreement from current employer.
You must also be able to travel throughout Tayside to undertake the duties of the post.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
