Governance Officer - Coventry Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC)

Job description

This role is a 3 year fixed term contract.
We are looking for a Governance Officer to work as part of the Coventry HDRC, to improve population health & well-being outcomes by supporting the HDRC Programme Officer in the establishment and day-to-day management of the HDRC data sharing pathway, ensuring compliance with the HDRC sponsorship requirements, current legislation, national guidelines and Council policies and procedures.
You will work in a team which is leading on Research Data and Governance processes and is one of the five ‘pillars’ of the Coventry HDRC and with members of other pillars:

Research Data and Governance processes

Staff Research training and skills development

Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)

Evaluation

Impact and Implementation

Who are we looking for?

You’ll have significant experience in the field of Research and/or Research Governance.
Knowledge of the issues, concepts and requirements of information governance and data sharing in relation to research.
You’ll be a strong communicator, able to explain and present complex information to a wide range of audiences.
You’ll be highly organised, prioritising work, managing time and working under pressure to deliver to deadlines.
