Health Improvement Officer (Healthy Programmes)

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Merton Council and its friendly and dynamic public health team. The post holder will lead on the operational commissioning, performance management and development of key public health programmes, specifically working around the health improvement and prevention agenda e.g. healthy eating, alcohol, physical activity and smoking.
This is a high profile position and the post holder will develop and maintain key partnerships within the council and with external partners on prevention priorities including embedding prevention in health and care pathways across Merton. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously on a number of strategically important programmes and will have a depth and breadth of knowledge across health improvement and prevention.
