Health Information and Resources Officer

NHS Western Isles is looking to employ a Health Information & Resources Officer to provide support to the Heath Promotion Department (Public Health) and will be based in the Laxdale Court offices, Stornoway.
Tasks range from being responsible for the management of the Health Information & Resources Service, identifying educational, training, promotional materials and producing high-quality printed posters, leaflets, and conference materials. Advising in the development, delivery and support of health campaigns and events which link in with local and national events, programmes, and projects (as agreed with the Health Promotion Department).
The post holder must have previous experience of working in health promotion or communications, or a relevant health/health improvement related discipline. Experience of working with staff in a range of statutory and voluntary agencies and an understanding of health improvement theory.
Educated to diploma level, in a health communication or education related subject e.g., health promotion, public health, community learning and development, business or social media, or equivalent relevant experience.
