We require an individual to support the work of the Suicide Review Group within the Health Intelligence Team of the Public Health Directorate. The post holder will have experience of using qualitative data on complex and sensitive themes to help inform decision making. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong recent track record in social science research, experience in information retrieval and data management. Experience of working with qualitative data on mental health, deaths reviews processes and/or of writing case summaries is desired.
You will have gained specialist knowledge and experience of qualitative analysis and epidemiology through a degree level qualification, or equivalent experience. You must be able to demonstrate additional relevant specialist knowledge (mental health, suicide or case review processes) acquired through training and relevant experience to postgraduate diploma level, or equivalent.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
The ability to travel throughout Tayside is required for the post.
