Healthcare Public Health Improvement Manager

Job description

The post holder will provide maternity cover within a small sub team of the Public Health Team in Thurrock Council working closely with NHS Primary Care and Alliance colleagues. The postholder will work collaboratively with health Intelligence colleagues to analyse and respond to performance measures, outcomes and the outputs and recommendations made across JSNA, Health Needs Assessment, Health Equity Audit, and Director of Public Health Report products.
The post holder will work to promote primary and secondary prevention within Primary care focusing on Long Term Condition detection and management using a population health management approach.
 
Key experience and skills include:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present complex statistical information.
  • Ability to create and deliver oral presentations, drawing on complex health intelligence, to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of performance management, health data and information systems in relation to NHS/ local Government
  •  
    Essential qualifications

  • Educated to postgraduate level in Public Health related discipline. 
  • Registered with the UKPHR as a Public Health Practitioner / equivalent level of experience.
