Maternity Smoking Support Worker

Job description

As a Maternity Care Assistant, you will assist the qualified staff in delivering a caring and effective, patient focused service in keeping with the aims, objectives and standards of the Trust
You will also help with the maintenance of a safe care environment including preparing and clearing rooms and equipment with particular reference to infection control and safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff
Working as part of the maternity team we ensure we communicate in an open, and effective way to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of people who use health and care services and their carers.  

Main duties of the job

Some of the duties you will undertake if successful are:

  • Performing clinical baseline observations
  • Recording and documenting episodes of care in accordance with Guidelines
  • Liaising with other departments and members of the multidisciplinary team
