We are recruiting for a full time National Mental Health Service Improvement Manager to join Improvement Cymru and the NHS Executive. This post sits within the mental health and learning disability team and will be a key role in delivering the NHS Executive's mandate to improve the quality of mental health services in Wales.
Improvement Cymru is the national quality improvement service for NHS Wales. From 1 April 2023 Improvement Cymru became part of the NHS Wales Executive. As a subsidiary brand of the NHS Wales Executive, Improvement Cymru will operate in shadow format for the first 12 months before formally joining the NHS Wales Executive in April 2024. Our goal is to work with NHS Wales and its partner organisations to achieve sustainable, measurable improvements so that the services offered to people are safer, more effective and timely.
You'll be joining an ambitious team, comprising some of the most qualified, experienced improvement professionals in health and social care in Wales. Together, we lead, embed and champion improvement across Wales - drawing on international best practice and evidence. As part of our new direction, we want to strengthen our team by recruiting new team members from diverse backgrounds with a mix of skills, personalities and experiences. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the role recruitment manager named below to discuss the role.
It will be essential for the post holder to build a strong and effective working relationship with colleagues working in the Health Boards, partner agencies, improvement teams, academia and Welsh Government as well as those with lived experience and our third sector stakeholders.
