Public Health Wales has the remit to provide strategic leadership for the development of immunisation services across Wales and support for vaccine policy development and clinical services across Wales. In addition, advice and support is provided to those non-NHS organisations who have a need for specialist health protection advice and guidance. The post holder will be expected to work in partnership with the Head of Vaccine Preventable Disease Programme and Scientific Lead / Senior Principal Epidemiologist to deliver these services
The post will provide a direct link with policy makers and will facilitate efficient dissemination of information and guidance from the highest level in the Welsh
Government (WG) and Public Health Wales, to practitioners in all healthcare settings giving added value by giving a strategic focus and direction for all professionals and agencies involved
Leading and co-ordinating the network of programme partners and stakeholders across Wales.
Consultant Nurse / Deputy Head of VPDP to provide support and leadership of the VPDP Team in Public Health Wales.
Co-ordinating and leading on development of VPDP guidance and model policies for Wales.
Providing specialist expertise and support to the VPDP programme of Public Health Wales.
Providing health protection expertise and advice to Welsh Government relating to vaccine preventable disease.
Providing specialist expertise on vaccinations and support to health protection division
