Policy Fellow in Digital Health

Through our data, health and wealth programme, our vision is to provide the public with better, more efficient care, driven by responsible innovation that is underpinned by the UK’s extensive health data.The Institute of Global Health Innovation has developed unique programmes of work focusing on cybersecurity for healthcare, the data, health and wealth programme and the evidence generation unit for digital health. Each of these programmes of work are rapidly growing and evolving. We are looking for a policy fellow to join our team and to lead the programme of work on evidence generation in digital health. Duties and responsibilitiesYou will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for delivering projects in this programme, as well as creating new areas of work and seeking external funding to support this initiative. You will be expected to develop research protocols, understand, and apply for research ethics, recruit participants, and carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis of results. You will also have the responsibility to lead the write up of the policy/research projects that are carried out and contribute to academic publishing that the team undertakes. We are looking for a self-motivated, independent, and highly engaged team member to join us.Essential requirementsProven academic ability with a postgraduate qualificationMaster’s degree in a relevant disciplineKnowledge of data usage in healthcare, experience of working in health policy, project management, and delivering successful outputsExcellent communication skills – both verbally and through your written workExcellent interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and to ensure the delivery of an excellent productExperience of leading a team to deliver project milestones and objectivesExperience of applying for fundingPrevious experience in undertaking health policy researchIn-depth experience gained from working in academic, government/civil service or major consulting organisations (health focus)
