An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Marie Curie's growing Policy and Public Affairs team taking forward the charity's mission and objectives by developing and influencing policy across the UK to deliver the best end of life experience for all.
The Policy Manager will play a vital role in this work by managing specified areas of policy and influencing activity within the health and wellbeing workstream, and developing evidence-based policy and practice recommendations for improving the mental and physical health and wellbeing of people approaching the end of life
Working as part of the policy and public affairs England team, and alongside similar teams working across the UK, this post will be key to ensuring our charity delivers the policy and practice changes needed to transform end of life experience.

What we are looking for:

Excellent ability to communicate evidence-based policy to a wide range of different audiences, both orally and in writing.

Knowledge of or a passion for policy and research in health and social care, palliative and end of life care, or mental health.

Experience of producing high quality and evidence-based impact focused reports, briefings, and other analytical outputs to deliver change in policy and practice.

Knowledge of lobbying, legislative change and how to engage with senior decisionmakers including government officials and elected politicians.

Analytical skills and sufficient knowledge of research methods.

Experience in project leadership and management
