Population Health Analyst (Mental Health)

Job description

London ICS, which joins up health and care data from across the 22 organisations across health and care partners in North London (primary care, mental health, community health, hospital and local authority data). It creates one longitudinal, normalised health and care record per person, which is used to support the delivery of direct care across the system, particularly where care needs to be more integrated, and to improve population health outcomes. There is a system commitment to embed population health management (PHM) as a core enabler in building our combined system strategy as an ICS. 
The role will be focused on the development and deployment of HealtheAnalytics, and the post holder will provide specialist mental health input into the development of these dashboards within the platform. They will be responsible for a range of different projects, working with different external stakeholders (clinicians, care professionals and other analysts), to deliver complex analytic tools that are of a high quality and can be used to improve patient care.  
The post holder will be required to provide support by generating, analysing, interpreting and presenting analytical outputs. A high level of expertise in managing and analysing data is required given the scale of the PHM system and the complexities of the single integrated health and care record from across all NHS trusts, GPs and adult social care.  

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for: 

  • Responsible for the production, development and promotion of analysis and analytical solutions for the North London ICB organisations, specifically focused on enabling population health focused mental health service delivery 
  • Provision of plans to deliver new analytical projects within agreed timescales 
  • Provision of accurate and timely reporting to support the Partnership and ICB’s population health intelligence needs. 
  • Provides expert advice and guidance on information and statistical matters including the development of mental health-related datasets and analysis.
