Programme Lead - Public Health Outcomes

Job description

The Hammersmith & Fulham Public Health Team are looking to appoint a new Programme Lead with the focus on Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) and Governance. This role is central to ensuring that all PHOF funds distributed across the council generate the Public Health Outcomes they are intended to. Not only will this person identify areas where more investment will lead to better outcomes and where changing priorities to keep our residents healthy shift, they will promote the public health agenda widely across the council. 
 
The Programme Lead – PHOF and Governance will have oversight of strategies, procedures and programmes across the borough that support delivery of services that support public health and ensure that the Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) is delivered efficiently by all Council directorates which receive PHOF funding. 
 
The successful candidate will take responsibility for engaging with service users, services and markets to ensure effective support for commissioning strategies and the delivery of projects. It ensures that commissioning strategy is outcome-led and soundly based on knowledge of performance. It works with commissioners and colleagues across the council to develop service requirements and to focus on evidencing public health outcomes to drive outcomes and efficiency. 
 
The Programme Lead – PHOF and Governance will work across all areas of the public health commissioning portfolio. Whilst the role will have a high proportion of working across directorates on public health investment and outcomes, the role contribute to the effective business management of the directorate.
 
The role will require you to be highly organised, with an ability to work on and be involved in a variety of activities and projects.
