Join Brighton and Hove City Council’s Public Health team over the next two years to raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental wellbeing. We are a progressive multi-disciplinary team committed to improving health and tackling inequalities across the city.
We are looking for a Public Health Project Manager to lead on the commissioning, mobilisation, monitoring, and evaluation of a two-year training programme for staff in Brighton & Hove supporting people with suicidal thoughts and wider mental health needs.
You will collaborate and work in a strategic way with colleagues across the system at both city and Sussex level including NHS, voluntary sector, emergency services and others. You will advise strategic partners and apply latest evidence, research and best practice to maximise effectiveness.
Fixed term for: 2 years. This job is also open to internal applicants as secondment within secondment policy guidelines.

You will be accountable for the development and delivery of suicide prevention training in the city, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Brighton & Hove health and care system as well as people with lived experience of mental ill health, using your expertise in project management, commissioning, partnership working, communication and organisational skills.
