This is an exciting opportunity for a deliberative researcher to manage high profile studies which influence and inform decision-making within the NHS on some of the key issues of the day. We already have a strong track record in this area and we are committed to further developing how the voice of the public, patients, staff and others are reflected in services.
We are looking for a deliberative researcher with good project design skills and experience of undertaking deliberation and dialogue with a range of participants. While the role will be heavily focused on deliberation, there may be a requirement to undertake other qualitative research at times. You’ll be working in a supportive and friendly environment where you have multiple people to learn from to develop your skills.
The main responsibilities will include:
Managing deliberative research and dialogue projects.
Developing discussion guides and stimulus that meet clients’ and stakeholders’ objectives, teasing out complex trade-offs and delivering information to participants in a way that is understandable.
Developing recruitment materials and overseeing recruitment, alongside workshop logistics.
Briefing moderators in a way that enables them to challenge participants to explore complex trade-offs.
Working with advisory groups and steering groups.
Writing presentations and reports that deliver insights to meet the client's objectives.
Being the key point of contact for the client on project-related matters, taking a proactive approach to developing knowledge of the client’s business.
Building and managing effective client relationships through strong communication with individual client teams and their stakeholders (including policy makers).
Building strong working relationships with our partners.
Working with clients, colleagues and partners to share knowledge and identify new research opportunities, inputting to strategic direction.
Effectively managing relationships with suppliers to ensure research objectives are met and on budget.
Monitoring contract and individual project finances, identifying problems and suggesting solutions.
Leading winning proposals.
Thinking about how/whether innovative approaches can be incorporated into projects.
Providing guidance, support and coaching to junior team members.
