Public Health Partnerships Manager

Job description

These are three new roles (2.6 whole time equivalent; 2x full time and x1 0.6 whole time equivalent) created to develop and implement a programme of public health support for Health Care Partnerships (HCPs), NHS Trusts and Primary Care Networks in Hertfordshire. The 0.6 whole time equivalent role is a joint appointment with E&N Herts Trust and provides a unique opportunity to embed public health throughout the Trust.In all roles you will manage a diverse portfolio of work that will bring you into contact with a wide range of NHS and local authority colleagues. This will include engaging with stakeholders, planning, managing, and delivering a range of projects and providing expert public health advice to external partners. You will need to have a range of communication styles to influence decisions and actions, and work in an agile way to adapt between priorities. This role would be suitable for somebody who is keen to experience working at the interface between local authority public health and NHS policy and service delivery.You will need to have a degree in a related discipline or equivalent, or experience in a field relevant to public health, health and social care. Substantial experience within the NHS and/or public health in a strategic or commissioning role and experience of analysing data, population health management, undertaking health needs assessments and evidence reviews is required.Hertfordshire County Council is an ambitious local authority which works with district and borough councils and central government to lift up communities at risk of being left behind, by supporting inward investment and creating the jobs and infrastructure for a rapidly expanding population.
