This is an exciting time to be working in substance misuse in Brighton & Hove. The postholder will play a lead role in improving the drugs and alcohol treatment and recovery outcomes for the population of Brighton & Hove, including leading the strategic commissioning of these services in Brighton & Hove and the local delivery of the Government’s new drug strategy - From Harm to Hope: a ten-year drugs plan to cut crime and save lives.
The post is based within the busy and dynamic public health team at Brighton & Hove City Council and the postholder will be a senior member of the public health team. They will work in collaboration with partners across Brighton & Hove, Sussex and the South East including other council departments, NHS commissioners and providers, police and the office of the police and crime commissioner, substance misuse treatment providers, national government agencies, other public sector organisations and local communities.
