This is a fixed term post in our adult health improvement programme. It will develop policies to ensure that public health principles are embedded in the planning and transport programmes of Herefordshire, facilitating the development of health-focussed decision making. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is able to build relationships with colleagues quickly and who is comfortable with a level of independent working, although they will be working closely with the consultant in adult health improvement. Experience of public health and planning policies and a degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant area is required. Registration with UKPHR is desirable. This is a fixed term appointment and secondments are welcome. It is a great opportunity to gain experience of strategic work and to bring it to application and delivery, in an area of growing interest across local government and health.
