The Public Health Research (PHR) programme is seeking to appoint trainee members to its Prioritisation Committee.
This training opportunity is for current UK Public Health Specialty Registrars who have a good understanding of front-line public health practice. We encourage applications from all four countries of the UK.
The PHR programme funds approximately £19m of Public Health research every year. It is keen to fund research that is of importance and relevance to Public Health practice operating at a population and system level.
The role of the Prioritisation Committee is to advise the Programme Director on the identification and prioritisation of a broad range of public health research topics, the prioritisation of research proposals and to help steer the development of the programme. The current membership of the committee can be found on our website.
The Committee meets three times a year, either virtually or in central London. Participation will give Registrars a better understanding of the research system and an opportunity to network with senior Public Health leaders.
The term of office is one year starting from January 2022. Travel and expenses will be paid.
