Joining our specialist team, you’ll lead on the development and delivery of the Public Health Strategies for Hampshire County Council and Isle of Wight Council with a focus on service development across the team.
Using your leadership and management skills you’ll have senior level responsibility across all elements of the Public Health Team’s business, ensuring that delivery of our public health function is driven by national, organisational and team strategy and policy in partnership with other organisations.
Your significant experience of programme leadership and systems working, will be key to successful delivery of the role. Working across all areas of the Public Health Team, you’ll support us to achieve efficiencies and delivery of benefits through the development and delivery of strategies, plans and transformation projects.
A firm understanding of the importance of quality systems in public service is essential and good knowledge of the major issues affecting Public Health nationally and locally is also important.
You’ll have a proven track record of leading successful change programmes and a proven ability to quickly understand existing processes/ways of working and spot opportunities for improvement or simplification.
