Public Health Support Worker

Are you passionate about Public Health and looking to support the delivery of Health Promotion and Child Development assessments for the children and families of Warrington? We are looking for a motivated public health support worker to lead and support the delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme, based Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Healthy child programme to all children from 0-19 across a geographical location.
The Warrington 0-19 Service in Bridgewater works across 3 geographical areas working closely with Children Centres teams, GPs and Midwives. The service has well established skill mix teams consisting of Health Visitors, Staff Nurses, Nursery Nurses and Health Visitor Assistants who together deliver the Healthy Child Programme along with colleagues in the Local Authority, Primary Care and voluntary and statutory agencies.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role will be to Measure childrens heights, weights and head circumferences and plot centiles after the completion of training and assessment of competence in order to complete the delivery of the healthy child programme offer and the national child measurement programme(NCMP). To be responsible and accountable for timely and accurate record keeping including attendance or non attendance at clinic appointments in the Electronic patient record. Record data as requested for service development and audit purpose. Maintain strict confidentiality for all clients. To store and maintain records in accordance within Trust Policy.
Other duties may include and not limited to the support the delivery of Child Health surveillance activities for the 0-19 service by preparing and tidying rooms/equipment/resources. To support the 0-19 Team with a range of administrative duties: adding attachments to electronic patient records, organising clinics, making individual client appointments, signposting, ordering of team supplies ensuring constant availability for use by the team. Check the 0-19 service NHS mail boxes, signposting any messages/referrals appropriately.
