Reader/Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Services Research or Public Mental Health

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Lecturer or Reader to contribute to mental health services research and/or public mental health research and education in the Health Service & Population Research (HSPR) Department in the School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences (MHaPS) King’s College London.
We are looking for someone who can make a distinctive contribution to high-quality, collaborative research in either mental health services or public mental health as well as contribute to our education. We welcome applications from people from a variety of backgrounds, including (but not limited to) clinical trials, health service design and evaluation, epidemiology, implementation science, and observational and/or big-data methods. We expect candidates to have the potential to undertake interdisciplinary research and experience of building strong collaborations and have an established track record of external research funding, and who can contribute to high-quality knowledge dissemination and impact.  
Education and training of the next generation of researchers is also a priority so we expect the postholder to have excellent teaching skills and be able to inspire early career research staff and students at all levels (undergraduate, post-graduate taught and post-graduate research). Education responsibilities include face-to-face teaching, marking, module or programme leadership, and project supervision.
The successful applicant will be appointed at either Senior Lecturer or Reader dependent on criteria outlined in the IoPPN Academic Performance Framework for the IoPPN (copy available upon request). Applicants should specify which grade they are applying for.
