Recovery Co-ordinator 5 Speciality: Substance Misuse

Pennine Care NHS Trust, together with our partners Intuitive Thinking Skills and Acorn Recovery Projects have recently been successful in securing the contract to deliver Stockport Adult Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Early Intervention and Recovery Services.
We are now looking to strengthen and develop our team for the future and are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated Recovery Coordinator as the first phase of our service development. This post is based within the busy treatment element of the service which holds responsibility for prescription and case management.
The service delivers comprehensive care and treatment packages within a case-work model and benefits from additional services such as on site Hepatitis C treatment and Smoking cessation services.
We would be delighted to hear from experienced and committed drug and alcohol workers who are interested in working within the NHS and have ambitions to contribute to the development of this new service for the communities of Stockport.

Main duties of the job

To work within a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate a range of recovery and abstinence focussed interventions for adults with substance misuse problems.
The post holder will provide harm reduction and health and well-being interventions for Stockport residents presenting with a variety of substance misuse issues including alcohol, opiates, stimulants, Steroids, over the counter, prescription and emerging drugs. The post holder will offer prescription and care management interventions for service users working, wherever possible, towards recovery and abstinence using an asset based framework.
The post holder will provide clinical interventions supporting sustained recovery within an ambitious, inspirational and outcome focussed culture promoting hope, empowerment and choice.
