NHS Grampian is an intelligence-led organisation with a reputation of drawing on high quality analytics to inform public health, planning, performance and improvement. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and forward thinking individuals to join our team.
We have a number of posts available and are looking for people with highly developed skills in: information extraction and manipulation of large datasets; application of relevant statistical approaches to complex problems; identification of data patterns; predictive modelling; information interpretation and data visualisation skills. All of the posts offer the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders such as Public Health consultants, acute sector colleagues and local authorities, along with other health boards and national health bodies.
The team has built a positive reputation and we are much in demand, so the ability to deal with pressure is important. In return, we can offer flexible working arrangements and opportunities for development and progression. Continuous professional development and research is important to us and we provide the opportunity to develop academic links with the University of Aberdeen and the Aberdeen Centre for Health Data Science.
This cross system post will support strategic development and service planning by providing analysis, interpretation and judgement on public health intelligence, particularly focused on the covid and seasonal flu vaccination programme, along with childhood vaccinations and adult vaccinations for shingles and pneumococcal protection. The post-holder will deliver automated reports from multiple sources on vaccine uptake and forward booking for the eligible groups and beyond.
