The Cheshire & Merseyside Public Health Collaborative, Champs, is looking for a Senior Public Health Analyst. You will be responsible for supporting a wide range of population health programmes operating at a Cheshire & Merseyside ICS level to demonstrate impact. Working with the Consultant in Public Health and the Strategic Intelligence lead you will act as the first point of contact for routine and ad hoc information requests relating to public health.
You will work with all programme officers to develop performance indicators that demonstrate effectiveness and value for money. You will produce regular reports in a variety of media, often to tight deadlines that will be shared to a wide range of stakeholders.
About You:
An established professional with an understanding of the theoretical knowledge required for data analysis, you’ll know how to manipulate, interpret, and report on the results of data. You’ll have experience of working with multiple sets of data and information systems, ideally in a Public Health environment, and be capable of conveying complex information to colleagues from non-statistical backgrounds.
On a personal level, you’ll be deeply collaborative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team centric environment. You’ll be highly analytical, organised, and self-motivated, capable of managing your own workload and meeting tight deadlines. You will be confident working across organisational boundaries, have political awareness as well as sound negotiating skills and a flexible approach, working well under pressure. Candidates will have a degree plus additional specialist knowledge e.g. epidemiology, research methods, information analysis, statistics, health economics.
