We are seeking two dedicated and motivated midwives to lead the Maternity Tobacco Dependency Team at Basildon and Broomfield, prioritising Element 1 of the Saving Babies Lives v2 care bundle and act as the lead within the division.
We are aiming to reduce our current smoking rate in line with the national ambition to 6%,

If successful you will help maternity staff to directly support pregnant women and birthing people through their journey to a smoke-free pregnancy, monitoring element 1 of the saving babies lives care bundle and have the responsibility for the collaboration of appropriate evidence for the Clinical Negligence Scheme Trust (CNST) submission.
You will also assume the role of Tobacco Dependency lead, improving standards of Carbon Monoxide (CO) monitoring, referred to Tobacco Dependency service and training of all levels of staff with in the service.
In this role you will be a visible and credible leader, promoting compassionate leadership within your areas of responsibility whilst engaging the wider multidisciplinary teams to improve the standards of care and you will have the opportunity to work across our 3 hospital sites with the Trust Tobacco Dependency team as well as have the opportunity to work with the Mid and South Essex Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) and NHS Public Health England.
