Specialist Public Health Practitioner (Health Visitor)

To lead the Healthy Families Team in the delivery of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and Public Health Nursing Programme children in line with local and national public health priorities.

Main duties of the job

Bassetlaw  Healthy Families Team is a dynamic team, providing a quality service to the local population. We are an integrated service, working in partnership with agencies, to support children and young people aged 0 – 19 and their families .
The team is a skill mixed team, taking leadership from Specialist Public Health Practitioners, providing a high standard of care, our staff receive an excellent training and induction package and a friendly supportive working environment.
The role includes services to antenatal women, completion of the Healthy Child Programme for under 5s, enhanced programmes of care within school and community settings for the 5 -19 age group, breast feeding support and a strong element of leadership to the skill mix 0-19 cluster team.
We are using a hybrid working model, out and about as service needs dictate and home working when appropriate. An office desk is also available if preferred. Appropriate equipment needed to work at home will be provided. Come and join our team, we look forward to working with you soon.
