STUDENT Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting/School Nursing) sponsorship
Location: Ealing and Westminster
Children, young people, and families are our focus and passion, and we are looking for highly motivated qualified and newly qualified nurses and midwives committed to providing the best possible care to undertake the Post Graduate Diploma (Level 7) Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting& School Nursing) qualification commencing in January 2024.
This one-year full time course will be jointly undertaken with Greenwich University.
This is your chance to join our teams and to develop your career with the Trust. Alongside the support that you will receive from the University, you will be supported throughout your training by the 0-19 team as well as by a passionate team of Practice Assessors/Supervisors and the CLCH Academy.
This opportunity is being offered at band 5 level. Current NMC Registration for nursing or midwifery, or evidence of application for NMC registration and confirmed NMC registration within 2 months of the start date is essential. To apply, you will require a qualification equivalent to 120 credits at level 6.

Main duties of the job

To work towards gaining the standards of proficiency for entry to Part 3 of the NMC register/recordable for Specialist Community Practitioner.
To provide the Specialist Community Practitioner Student with a learning environment which will enable the student to develop knowledge, skills and competencies to take on the role of a qualified Specialist Community Practitioner
To gain the knowledge and skills and competence required in order to exercise higher levels of judgment, discretion and decision making in clinical care focusing on four broad areas:

  • Clinical practice
  • Community Engagement
  • Clinical practice development
  • Leadership in clinical practice
    The post of Specialist Community Practitioner Sponsorship Student is a development post, building on existing knowledge, skills and competencies to achieve a higher level of practice resulting in an academic qualification and clinical practice sign-off in order to achieve a recordable/registerable qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
